ABORTION AND BREAST CANCER

The relationship between abortion and breast cancer is a topic scientists have been researching and debating about, since the mid 50's. Some said abortion has nothing to do with cancer and the other said ladies who do abortion are at risk of having breast cancer.
A research in year 1958 in Tohoku, Japan, claimed that ladies who abort have most chance of having cancer. It was stated in the reputation that highest percentage of cancerous patients claimed they had experience an abortion. A counter research nullified this theory because there were also patients who never experienced abortion in the control room, therefore, conclusions cannot be drawn from that kind of scenario. In year 1980, another research by J Russo and I.H. Russo in Philadelphia, USA,  backed up the saying abortion causes breast cancer, this was the first practical experiment of this notion using rat as the specimen. Three groups of rats were collected, pregnant rats, virgin rats and rats which their pregnancies were aborted at early stage. These rats were injected with toxins in order to created tumor in the rats. It was deduced that there was a 77% higher increase of carcinomas in those rats who had their pregnancy terminated early. A synonymous value were derived from the virgin rats. This made a clear evidence that pregnancy is one of the solution to breast cancer.
Some scientist said, the continues excitement by the estrogen and progesterone after the fetus has been removed could lead to cancerous growth in the breast.
In the 2000's, the National Cancer Institute, United State of America assigned over 100 experts to make researches on the notion. Results were tabled after various experiments has been carried out. It was deduced that "having an abortion or miscarriage does not have role in the cancerous growth in the breast."
